Samsung Note as Note Taking Device

Here it is, the new powerful gadget from Samsung, the Samsung Note. It runs on Android, so the note taking apps for android is what you will see on this device – and it has already quite a lot of them on board. Really amazing, that little thing.

“Little thing”? Well, actually that’s not really what comes to your mind when you take the Samsung Note into your Hand. It’s size actually lies somewhere in between a tablet and a smartphone. I have pretty big hands, so I have no problems holding it. I can even type with just one Hand.

But when you have smaller hands, that might be a problem … or you have to use two hands to type.

What is really amazing when you hold it in your hands is the quality of the device. Yes, it’s made of plastic – but that makes it very light, and it’s made in a way that I have no worries that it could break. Well, maybe you should not keep it in your rear pocket and sit on it … but I guess that’s the case with pretty much all modern smart phones.

The screen is amazing. It has the highest resolution that is currently available in a smartphone (1280 x 800 pixel on a 5.3 inch monitor). And the display is just amazing. It’s able to display the color black so good, that cow can barely see the edge between the display and the surrounding edge. I like that!
